We pray, we worship, we sing, we counsel, we uplift, we are all over social media – relating, but above all we testify!!! We laugh, we share our struggles, we discuss relationships and tackle our flaws – yet in it all – nothing compares to our love for GOD and the journey He continues to take us on.
This ministry was born from many years of sharing from the comforts of our homes across the globe. However despite our distance from one another, the movement fuels us, our sisterhood and desire to see women come into who they have been called to by Christ. It is our prayer that you will join us in our quest to build each other as women through Quintessential F.
If you would like to join our movement, please reach out to any of our contributors below. In the meantime, hear from them why they are a part of Quintessential F
Tafadzwa Gunda – Lawyer, counselor & entrepreneur – United Kingdom
Call me Josephine after Joseph “coat of many colours”, because I have been betrayed by loved ones, thrown into the pit, sold off and though not incarcerated have served as a slave and have in due course been elevated. Call me Mosesela as my sister in Christ Kudzai Parirenyatwa calls me, because when I raise the staff in my hand and make declarations heaven responds in Jesus’ name.
I’m a single lady who has been changed in the presence of the Lord, healed, delivered and in your presence Lord I have found grace and favour. Currently I reside in London, where I specialise in Corporate Finance law. I was born and bred in Zimbabwe, in a non-Christian family. My passion for Christ is one I cannot articulate for words fail me, but as a child I knew there was a big man up there and every time I called upon his holy name, having been taught at school, something special would happen. I remember my late father calling me a dreamer, and indeed I would dream out loud. And trust God to show up and show off and I would be left sticking out my tongue asking “What did you call me the other time”???
I’m a strong advocate for sponsoring child education, having been a beneficiary of such sponsorship myself and also having watched my mother in action. I believe education is the cornerstone to eradicating poverty and building strong nations and a better global village. My love for children extends to charity work, such passion I attribute to my mother who opened the doors to our home to those in need, fed and clothed them out of a meagre earning. Funny I look back and realise how after all that giving, out of the little my siblings and I where the “well-nourished aka fat” kids in the hood. Indeed like Denzel Washington said, it’s not how much you have, but it’s what you do with what you have!!!!!!
After all has been said and done,
I breathe, “Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, and the Breath of Almighty gives me life”,
I eat, “John 6:35, 57 and Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life………..he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me”,
I drink, “John 7:37-38 Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water”,
And Live Christ, “Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
GLORY TO THE LORD OF HOSTS.
Yvonne Mtengwa – Co-Founder, Quintessential F, publicist, & entrepreneur – Abu Dhabi, UAE
Quintessential F for me was birthed from a place of seeking out a greater purpose in my adult life. I had a great childhood by any and all standards, with my parents offering us incredible support, loving hearts and listening ears, ability to express every kind of emotion as well as very opportunity for exposure. Yes I had made some choices during my years in the U.S that I wasn’t particularly proud of, but no longer was a living in regret and self-condemnation and wanted to speak on the Power of GOD in my life.
Today I am a woman of GOD, wife, mother, entrepreneur and publicist – titles that have been added to my name by GOD’s unparalleled GRACE. QF came from countless day to day conversations with dear friend Ruvimbo and QFs far and wide (particularly those sharing their story on here) who continue to fuel my passion to stay on the course of continued personal growth in Christ
I continue to read, write, and follow the news more in a quest to find a more profound understanding of the thought processes of man. My husband always jokingly states that in another life I would be a psychologist because I have a tendency to dissect everything; sometimes unnecessarily. I remain enamored by how sensitive I am to life’s issues, particularly those affecting the social well being of women. From experience I knew that being a praying wife and mom were quintessential to my everyday existence – the very essence behind how the name Quintessential F came to life
From speaking to friends the world over, reading status updates across social media platforms, attending mixers and prayer meets, experiencing travel or the everyday conversation with my beau and life partner, navigating life on the PR lane and more, my passion for inspiring women through written and spoken word grows. It brings me such fulfilment to be used of God to offer a solution to someone’s issue through words. There are so many issues that women are dealing with internally, so many titles unwarranted, so many expectations, such misnomers about how they ought to relate or behave…I mean the list is endless. BUT GOD.
The journey to QF has been incredibly rewarding, in some ways daunting, but GOD shows me every day the power of faith and surrendering myself to HIM. I am constantly reminded of His love for me through creation, through replaying the video of my life thus far in my mind, and through His voice in the stillness of the night. Indeed let the redeemed of the LORD say so. I do not know where GOD is taking QF, but my desire and prayer is that lives are touched and the purpose of woman is revealed unto her.
Tatenda (Tats) Moyo – Entrepreneur/restauranteur & Christian youth counselor – Lusaka, Zambia
Having experienced a nomadic childhood, my family eventually settled in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I spent my high school and early professional training there before getting married and moving to Harare, Zimbabwe.
Though I am Zimbabwean born and raised, I consider myself to be a citizen of the world. I love traveling and experiencing different cultures. I am always reminded that no matter what people look like on the outside, essentially, we all share similar hopes and dreams.
I currently live with my husband of 19 years and two beautiful daughters in Lusaka, Zambia. We are in the restaurant business. I enjoy spending time with my family and I value true friendships. I feel that I have a calling to help women and young girls discover their value and purpose in life. I do not take this lightly and I’m thankful that God is already using me in this area in my local church.
I am inspired by strong women who will not allow gender, circumstances or perceptions to limit them. My guiding scripture comes from Philippians 4:13 which reads “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!”
Kudzai Parirenyatwa – Clinical psychologist, counselor & philanthropist – Melbourne, Australia
One of the hardest challenges for me is to describe exactly who I am. This problem is compounded by the fact that as seasons come and go, I rediscover myself and continue to learn new things about me. That’s the beauty of entrusting your life in God’s hands. He makes ALL things beautiful in His time. Old things pass away and everything becomes NEW!!
My greatest triumph (which is still a work in progress) let’s call it a successive achievement, is knowing the Lord!! I love, love, love the Lord. I am a critical thinker, an effective communicator, an exhorter, I’m witty, I love people and over the years have established that I have the ability to reach people wherever they are (emotionally, spiritually, physically) regardless of race, gender, sexuality, socio-economic status or educational attainment. This has been influenced by personal experience, education and observation.
My areas of interest (to make this global village of ours are better place) are women’s health, sexual & reproductive issues, achieving global parity in accessibility and affordability of healthcare and education for ALL. I believe one day the health systems of fragile & under-developed nations will be strengthened to ensure better health outcomes for all, equitable health care, job creation and free education, to enable every individual to live a long, healthy and productive life. Orphans and widows are close to my heart. I understand that now to be a calling, I’m making small strides and I believe with God ALL things are possible.
God has blessed me with two beautiful girls whom I totally adore, I love CSI….lol…don’t ask me why!! I’ve developed a keen interest in fitness and longevity. My very close friends and family may call me obsessive. I could concede… lol.
Before QF I had confidants that I felt I could share my experiences with however, only one seemed to meet my need. God allowed me to appreciate that we all go through stuff (maybe like the old me, some of you may feel the walls are closing in on only you; the truth being we have adverse life experiences). But one thing that is certain is He brings us through ALL our afflictions!! Forever faithful.. yep that’s God!!! I’m alive to tell the story.
Now enter QF, I was like Lord these women!!! Wow!! Proper meeting of the minds!! I look forward to hearing from my QF sisters every single day, I’m guaranteed a word in season, a wisdom nugget, Godly counsel, laughs for days, basically it’s your one stop shop in this hectic world that’s going at a faster pace than we can comprehend, it’s heartening to know there’s a place you can find calm, sanity, relaxation and laughter. I have been enriched, encouraged, enlightened, energised and entertained on QF. It is my hope that this will be the experience of all who visit this site.
God bless you!!
Ruvimbo Parirenyatwa – Co-founder – Quintessential F, entrepreneur & financial advisor – Harare, Zimbabwe
Quintessential F was birthed many moons ago when I was living in London. I wondered why as women, we didn’t have a sense of unity to encourage and inspire each other to be the best version of ourselves. To put it bluntly, I was disgusted with the way women always pulled each other down especially as a Christian woman. I knew and know that God has a specific gifting and blessing for everyone; so for the life of me I couldn’t and still don’t understand why jealousy is so rampant.
Fast forward to late night Skype conversations with Yvonne, who was on the other side of the world. To my delight I discovered she shared the same passion and vision as I did: to create a platform where women encourage each other through sharing the highs and lows of life.
Have Yvonne and I “arrived”? ABSOLUTELY not! But as we go through this journey called life we have both learned that saying Yes to God and trusting Him implicitly begins an exciting journey where God takes you from Glory to Glory as God highlights areas that need work. Also, it is okay to not know what tomorrow has in store. Only that it is the only life worth living…
As women, the challenges we face are universal. However what I know is that God has an intense love for you and when you get to a place where you can wholeheartedly accept and embrace that love; a lot of the issues that you may have been struggling with have a way of dissipating because you begin to see life through God’s eyes.
I love God intensely and my prayer is that QuintessentialF would inspire and give women out there the courage to dare to dream and live the life God has prepared for them.

Chiratidzo Chiweshe – Inspirational writer & graphic designer – Harare, Zimbabwe
If I could tell you anything about myself what would that be? I am an artist, a seeker of the Lord, I am a wife, a sister a daughter and a friend. As a creative person I have found expression through a variety of mediums: visual, through graphic and layout design, illustration and drawing, from which I also make my living; physical, through the performing arts, whether it’s reading a play or acting in one and I am blessed to be married to a professional performing artist; through music, whether it’s singing or writing songs and the written and spoken word – poetry, stories and everything.
I feel I am an explorer, a journeying adventurer in life but I also feel a weighty responsibility for the gifts I have been given and using them to encourage, empower, inspire and point others to the Lord. My parents said they named me Chiratidzo with the meaning “manifestation of God’s glory” because of how I entered this world. So my supreme desire is to honour the Lord in the way that I live, do business and just be myself. I believe in the incredible power that the creative arts and written word have to transform and influence people’s lives and I truly believe it is a calling not to be taken lightly. At the same time I am moved to see the arts take their rightful place in the world – valued, esteemed, viable and contributing economically – not to be used merely for frivolous entertainment; nor to be looked down upon or pitied – but transcendent, powerful and meaningful.
I run Studio Chiratidzo a creative consultancy and design studio in Harare, but with a regional and international outlook and reach. I am founder of the True Creative Initiative and co-founder of the Creative Revolution Agency, a movement born from a passionate desire to see artists empowered and empowering others.
Chido Mashanyare – Commercial lawyer, aspiring writer and God-chaser – Harare, Zimbabwe
I’ve been in the legal field for over 10 years – 6 year in Joburg and now 4 years in Zimbabwe. I am passionate about reading, children’s causes and figuring out the why behind everything.
There’s a saying that behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back. Only a woman can know the unique challenges and inner heart longings of another woman, our struggle to to find our place and purpose in a male dominated world. I am inspired by motivating other women through my own life experiences and what i have learned so far. From here i draw strength and encouragement as i walk with other women keen on sharing their truth.
Colleen Chifamba – Psychotherapist, disability activist and blogger – Sydney, Australia
The name is Colleen and describing myself is one of the hardest things to do because I wear so many hats-daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, friend, confidant and therapist to many but ultimately I AM A CHILD OF GOD.
A lot of people would say I am confident and that’s because I am. Not out of my own doing but because I know who I am in Christ and whose I am.
I am passionate about mental health and disability issues. I have a dream that one day people with disabilities will be fully accepted into society as equal members and not looked down upon as inferior. Through my blog Life Through The Disability Lens I challenge the readers to change their perception of disability. I believe we should take care of our minds as we take care of our bodies.
I am excited to be joining QF. I look forward to all that God will do through QF and how it will change and impact women’s lives.
